You Can Keep Your Gurus — I’ll Keep My Conscience
I’ve been seeing a lot of videos lately.
Manifest this.
Align that.
Pay me and I’ll show you how to unlock abundance.
And I’ll be honest — part of me looks at it and thinks, yeah, I could do that. I’ve got a head full of knowledge, life experience, psychology coursework, hard lessons, wins, losses… I could package it up and charge for it.
But then there’s the other part of me.
The part that wants to sleep at night.
I’m not doubting myself. I know what I know. I also know where my authority ends. I’m not a PhD. I’m not a therapist. I’m not here to promise outcomes I can’t control.
What I do believe is simple.
A positive attitude matters.
Negativity compounds problems.
And most of us live somewhere in between, just doing the best we can.
That’s it. That’s the secret everyone’s selling — dressed up with fancy words and monthly subscriptions.
I do believe we’re connected — to the earth, to each other, maybe even to the universe in ways we don’t fully understand. But I’m also human. I don’t have all the answers, and I don’t trust anyone who says they do.
Some folks call this a lack of ambition.
I don’t.
I’ve crossed lines before. I’ve done things that didn’t sit right with me. And I learned something important from that: money made at the cost of your conscience is expensive.
I believe knowledge worth learning is knowledge worth sharing. Not hoarded. Not locked behind a promise. Not sold as certainty.
That’s why I respect apprenticeship more than influence. Show people. Walk with them. Let them decide what fits their life.
If I share something and it helps you, great.
If it doesn’t, that’s fine too.
Come back tomorrow — I’ll still be here.
And if you ever feel like tossing a dollar in the tip jar, that’s not payment for wisdom. That’s just a thank you for time and honesty.
No hype.
No guarantees.
No gurus.
Just a human, sharing what he’s learned, trying to do it without lying to himself.
That’s the only way I know how to build anything that lasts
